Domaine a Deux

Located in the upper part of the commune of St-Aignan-sur-Cher, this vineyard covers 26 hectares. On the first half of this area, dedicated to white wines, Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Chenin grapes take root. The remaining half of the vineyard feeds Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Côt and finally Gamay.

This voluntary approach will certainly bring Domaine a deux to the completely organic farming in several years. Wines are produced in stainless steel and wooden tanks in order to emphasize fruits in the iconic Loire grape varietals: Gamay, Chenin blanc, Sauvignon blanc.

Gérald Vallée comes from a long line of winemakers in Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil while François-Xavier Barc is a former winemaker of Charles Joguet in Chinon. Their experiences enabled to ensure that the characteristics of the terroir and the typicity of the Loire Valley grape varietals shine through in their wines. The vineyard is divided between 18 hectares of white grapevines and 10 hectares of red grapevines. The entire vineyard, located on the heights of the commune, allows ventilation for the vines and optimal maturity.
